Labor Education for the Future

What is Organizing the Curriculum? OtC explores critical issues in labor education with the tools K-12 teachers need to incorporate knowledge of the labor movement into their curricula, and contribute to creating a brighter future for the students in today’s schools. OtC started with the need for a teacher education resource and has developed multiple projects aligned with labor unions and social justice groups.
Goals & Objectives
The holistic goal for Organizing the Curriculum is to infuse the skills needed to succeed academically in standards-based curricula, with social justice values, with particular attention to developing appreciation for labor and the ideals held by the labor movement.

OtC Personnel
The labor educators associated with Organizing the Curriculum come from educational institutions at all levels, labor unions, or are independent scholars and consultants.
