March 24, 2009

The Triangle Fire Remembrance Coalition met at Judson Church on Washington Square to plan for the centennial of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, which will take place on March 25, 2011. 146 factory workers, mainly young Jewish and Italian immigrant women, died due to unsafe working conditions and bolted exit doors.
